New work created for The Sublime is Meow at Big Ramp Gallery. An invitational show of artist-made cat toys.
Anything can be a cat toy.
I decided to show Nugget’s collection of ready-made toys. I cleaned out under the bookshelves, chests, refrigerator, and all across the living room and amassed this collection of her purposeful and incidental toys. There were a fair few more items than I expected for find, so I dubbed it her hoard. I was misquoted by Peter Crimmins for WHYY in this article about Duchamp. I actually said I am a fan of the ready-made, not that I am a fan of Duchamp in particular.
