The Surge
In the fall of 2012 Superstorm Sandy decimated a large swath of the mid-Atlantic coast. I had seen photos of the Seaside Heights roller coaster in Seaside Heights, NJ, that had washed out in to the ocean, lightly crumpled, but mostly in tact. I found it to be a beautiful, terrible image, and wanted to keep it under glass like the precious relic it had become- soon to be demolished and probably forgotten forever.
